About the job:

We are currently seeking a Performance QA Software Engineer with 3 to 4 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing performance testing strategies to ensure the reliability, scalability, and responsiveness of our software applications. This role requires a strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:

Following are the day-to-day work activities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define performance testing objectives, requirements, and success criteria.
  • Develop performance testing strategies, methodologies, and test plans based on project requirements and technical specifications.
  • Design and implement performance test scenarios, scripts, and simulations to simulate realistic user loads and stress conditions.
  • Configure and maintain performance testing environments, tools, and infrastructure to support testing activities.
  • Execute performance tests using industry-standard performance testing tools and frameworks.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, such as response times, throughput, resource utilization, and error rates, to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement performance optimizations and enhancements.
  • Document performance testing results, findings, and recommendations in clear and concise reports.
  • Communicate performance testing progress, status, and issues to project stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and business leaders.
  • Coordinate with offshore testing teams if applicable, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and strategies to enhance overall quality and efficiency.

Requirements:

Candidates are required to have these mandatory skills to get the eligibility of their profile assessed. The must have requirements are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in performance testing or related roles, with a focus on testing web-based and enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of performance testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java for test automation and performance test scripting.
  • Experience with performance monitoring and profiling tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of P&C insurance, including both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
  • Solid knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ADO, Rally or similar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen diligence.
  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CPTP, CLRP or Agile certifications are desirable.
  • Experience working in Agile environment following Onsite Offshore mode.
