About the job:

Work as a business rating analyst for Guidewire application. The candidate would need to work as a liaison between business and technical teams to develop a common understanding and elicit, modify requirements, analyze requirements, and analyze incident/ defects/ problems to identify root cause.

Responsibilities:

Following are the day-to-day work activities:

  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for rating solutions.
    • Analyse business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization within the Guidewire Rating module.
  • System Design and Configuration:
    • Design and configure rating algorithms and rules within the Guidewire PolicyCenter.
    • Ensure that rating configurations align with business requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Implementation and Testing:
    • Work closely with the development team to implement and test rating configurations.
    • Develop and execute test plans, including unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance tests (UAT).
    • Identify and resolve defects during the testing phase.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for rating configurations, processes, and workflows.
    • Provide training and support to end-users and other stakeholders on new rating features and functionalities.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Monitor the performance of rating systems and processes, identifying opportunities for enhancements.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in insurance rating and Guidewire technologies.

Requirements:

Candidates are required to have these mandatory skills to get the eligibility of their profile assessed. The must have requirements are:

Qualifications:

    • Education:
      • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry, with a focus on rating systems.
      • Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, specifically in the Rating module.
      • Experience in analysing and configuring rating algorithms and business rules.
    • Skills:
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Proficiency in creating detailed documentation and reports.
      • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
      • Knowledge of SQL and other data analysis tools is a plus.
    • Certifications:
      • Guidewire certifications are highly desirable.
